Charles A. Landers is Vice President
of Signature Financial Services.
Mr. Landers is licensed as a General Securities Representative (Series #7),
Investment Advisor Representative (Series #65), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®),
Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and
Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS).
Mr.
Landers received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois
and did post-graduate work at the University of Nebraska. Currently he is
pursuing a Master of Science in Financial Services through the American College.
Prior to joining Signature Advisors Group, Mr. Landers practiced in the areas of
estate and financial planning, restricting his practice to the owners of
closely-held and family controlled businesses. Mr. Landers has also been
President of a large family owned agribusiness corporation and President of a
real estate development company serving numerous well known franchisors
throughout the Midwest.
A
recognized authority on the tax and estate planning concerns facing the
agribusiness industry, Mr. Landers has addressed numerous professional and
business organizations, including the Illinois CPA Society and Central Illinois
Family Business forum, on the topics of estate planning, business valuation, and
family business dynamics. His articles have appeared in various publications.
Active in numerous professional organizations, Mr.
Landers is a founder and director of the Central Illinois Family Business Forum
sponsored by Southern Illinois University. He has served as President, Executive
Committee Chairman, and Fundraising Chairman of his local YMCA. He is also
closely involved with the University of Illinois, serving as an Illinois
Connection Ambassador.
